Thursday, March 6
6pm – ?? Volunteer meeting in THE TWO BELOW TENT sponsored by NEW BELGIUM BREWERY. Volunteer benefits packages will be distributed. Hors d'oeuvres. It takes a village and 150 volunteers to host FROZEN DEAD GUY DAYS. Our thanks to each and every one, especially our NEDERLAND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, NEDERLAND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND NEDERLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT.
Friday, March 7
Noon – 7pm Festival kicks off with the TWO BELOW TENT open for beer pours, live music, as well as Grandpa's Gift Shop, food vendors and the SUSTAINABILITY EXHIBITION.

5:30pm HULLABALOO VINDALOO EATING CONTEST, KATHMANDU RESTAURANT w/ Doc Murdock, announcer. Enter for $10. Winner receives $100 cash, w/ 2nd and 3rd place prizes. This contest brings new meaning to "HOT FLASHES."

7pm Frozen Dead Guy DaysÆ Special Opening Ceremony in the Town Roundabout. We will light up this year's snow sculpture created by local carver, Karen Adler, and watch the skeleton dancers swing to the beat of Oingo Boingo's "It's a Dead Man's Party," which it most certainly is. FREE
7:30 – 8:30pm Ghost Stories - Say hello to Grandpa at BLUE OWL BOOKS. Special guests. FREE - Rated PG
8pm International award winning documentary, "Grandpa's Still in the Tuff Shed," by the Beeck Sisters of Boulder, about the discovery of Bredo Morstel's cryonic existence in Nederland shows at the FDGD LISTEN-UP THEATER at the BEST WESTERN LODGE IN NEDERLAND. FREE
8pm "Frozen to the Bonz Contest", PIONEER INN, vie for most frozen looking legs, male and female categories, 1st place wins a pair of La Sportiva Mountain Running Shoes, 2nd and 3rd place as well. Co-sponsored by THE MOUNTAIN EAR.
9pm - 1am Doors to the BLUES MASQUERADE BALL AT THE NED COMMUNITY CENTER open for the infamous costume gala, featuring the electic, illusionally, UKELELEI LOKI AND THE GADFLY DEAD GUY ORCHESTRA w/areial & burlesque dancers and sideshows. Read more about Ukelelei Loki...

Participants include Denver Antique Hearse Club, COCA-COLA'S POLAR BEAR, Coffin Race Teams, Polar Plungers, and festival revelers. Parade announcing to take place in front of WILD MOUNTAIN SMOKEHOUSE AND BREWERY. If you're lucky, you'll catch a hand warmer from GRABBER WARMERS to be distributed at all events.............. 1pm CHARITY POLAR PLUNGE at kids' pond in Chipeta Park. Take the Plunge for your favorite charity. $100 to your choice of charity from NEDERLAND AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE for best-costumed plunger and most creative entry.........$25 to plunge w/out a charity sponsor. FREE ADMISSION
2pm "THE" FESTIVAL EVENT......TUFF SHED COFFIN RACES at Chipeta Park w/ your mc hosts, Robyn of ROCKIN' THE ROCKIES, UKELELEI LOKI and and NMSHS VP, Scott Caldwell.

Up to thirty coffin race teams are ready to race in 2 per heat runoffs down a course full of obstacles, mud, snow, playground slides, and the TUFF SHED CRYONICS MAUSOLEUM to be the first across the finish line.

$300 cash prize for first place, $100 for second and $50 for third. Prizes also awarded for best team costumes, team spirit and coffin construction. Prizes also awarded for best hearses. FREE ADMISSION

4:30pm FROZEN PIZZA TOSS CONTEST at BACK COUNTRY PIZZA, $10 entry fee to vie for $100 cash first place & Stone Brewery Hoodie, $50 cash and Stone Brewery T-Shirt for 2nd place and $25 gift certificate for 3rd.
5:30pm FROZEN T-SHIRT CONTEST at BEARS BROTHERS BISTRO How fast can you open it up and put it on? $10 contestant fee. All contestants receive a free '07 FDGD® t-shirt. Male and female categories. First 15 to register to compete for prizes to be given in top three fastest times.

3:30pm ROCKY MOUNTAIN OYSTER EATING CONTEST at FIRST STREET PUB AND GRILL. $10 contestant fee ( includes ONE FREE beer) with $100 cash prize for the fastest and greatest oyster eater.
4:30pm AWARDS CEREMONY W/ OUR FINAL TWO BELOW IN THE TWO BELOW TENT. All contest winners will be announced, prizes awarded and highest bidders on AFTERLIFE AUCTION items announced.
5pm Special Closing Ceremony of the 2008 Frozen Dead Guy Days® festival at the Town Roundabout/ the lights will go out on the official snow sculpture until Grandpa returns next year....Join festival organizers for a frozen popsicle and watch the festival, but not our memories, melt away................
