The Mission

"The mission of the Nederland Area Chamber of Commerce is to facilitate economic vitality in the Nederland area by:
  o Promoting a self-sufficient economy characterized by diverse and essential products, services and jobs that support the local community and are mindful of potential impacts on the environment.
  o Collaborating with businesses, community members, nonprofits and local government to support community-based needs and problem-solving.
  o Advancing educational training, technological proficiency and personal growth opportunities for adults and youth."

The board feels that this statement covers the scope of what it would like to move forward with, a more open, business focused and inclusive organization.

Opportunities for Nederland Area Businesses

The services NACC can offer, and have begun setting up include:
- social networking events
- "brown bag" lunches/small discussion groups
- training on branding, social media, online marketing (including how to market online without a website!)
- business tax, human resources, small business assistance

Items on our list for research and development include:
- computer training including the basics and software training on MS Word/Excel, Outlook, Google docs etc
- health insurance
- small business resource center
- small business assistance
- concierge (!?)

Not interested in a Package? Try the Online Directory  A little exposure goes a long way!
The online business directory is searched hundreds of times every month and the Visitor Center hands out an average of 1,000 Nederland maps monthly during the summer months. Having your business listed puts your business in front of thousands of people looking for local goods and services.

Basic Directory Listing $25/year	Name, address, phone number, 8 keywords and business page with 1500 character description. Includes listing in applicable specialized directory. (See next section).
Basic + $35/year	Basic Directory Listing AND website link in directory and on business page, can use hot deals
*Enhanced Directory Listing $50/year	Includes all items from Basic + with 200 character description and logo in directory search results. 2000 character description, 5 top-of-page bullets, logo and images on business page 20 keywords, performance statistics.(includes Business Name on printed map)

Online Services Directory
To make the Online Directory more useful we've developed new Online Specialized Directories. If you operate a business from your home or are an artist or musician and want people to know you are here you can have your contact information added to an online specialized directory. These directories will be available to everyone who comes to the website and promoted on the website and in our bi-monthly newsletters.
